I’m based in the heart of George, in South Africa’s magnificent Garden Route. My work is rooted in a deep love for the natural world — the Outeniqua Mountains, ancient fynbos, and that extraordinary golden Cape light that makes everything glow.
I believe great photography shouldn’t feel forced. I create a calm, unhurried space where you can simply be yourself — and then I capture what naturally unfolds. The result is imagery that is honest, tender, and timeless.
George and the Garden Route offer one of South Africa’s most spectacular natural canvases — ancient fynbos, dramatic Outeniqua mountain ranges, lush indigenous forests, and a wild Atlantic coastline. I shoot almost exclusively with natural and golden hour light, because nothing else captures the soul of a moment quite like the real thing.

Everything you need to know before your first session with Fiela Fynbos Photography.
You’ll receive a confirmation email with all session details — location, timing, what to wear, and what to bring. I like to keep things relaxed and well-prepared so you feel confident and comfortable from the very start.
How long does it take to receive my photos?
Edited galleries are delivered within 2–3 weeks of your session via a private online gallery link. Wedding galleries are typically ready within 3–4 weeks. Rush delivery is available on request.
How many photos will I receive?
The number delivered is outlined in each package. Every single image is individually edited — colour corrected, polished, and gallery-ready. You’ll never receive raw or unedited files.
What if the weather is bad on our shoot day?
We monitor the weather closely and are completely flexible. If conditions are unsuitable for outdoor photography, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost. Soft overcast light is actually gorgeous for portraits — it acts as a natural softbox!
What should we wear to our session?
Think soft, complementary tones that feel natural in the landscape. Avoid busy patterns or large logos. I send every client a detailed styling guide before their session so you feel and look your absolute best.
Do you shoot in a studio or on location?
I primarily shoot at beautiful outdoor locations around George and the Garden Route — fynbos fields, forest clearings, beaches, or your own garden. Natural light and the Cape surroundings create the most magical backdrops.
How far in advance should I book?
For weddings, I recommend booking 6–12 months in advance — peak season (October–February) fills quickly. For portrait and lifestyle sessions, 4–8 weeks’ notice is usually sufficient.
Do you travel outside of George?
Yes! I service the wider Garden Route including Knysna, Wilderness, Mossel Bay, Oudtshoorn, Plettenberg Bay, and surrounding areas. Travel fees apply for locations more than 30km from George.
A non-refundable 30% retainer is required to confirm your date. The balance is due one week before your session. Full payment details are provided in your booking confirmation email.
Can I share my photos on social media?
Absolutely — please do! Feel free to share on personal social media. I just ask that you tag @fielafynbosphotography and avoid applying additional filters to the edited images.
